Carter Beauford visits the Zildjian Factory
After a 12 year hiatus, Zildjian artist Carter Beauford of the Dave Matthews Band was finally able to arrange a return visit to the Zildjian Factory on Friday, August 3 to catch up on all the changes that have happened since his last visit. Two performance dates in Boston created an opportunity for Carter to stop by and see Zildjian's newly expanded manufacturing facility and share stories with all of his Zildjian brethren.
Carter was very enthusiastic about the new Armand Zildjian Series of cymbals that he has been using on this US tour. He stated that "these new cymbals are definitely how I remember my first set of Zildjian cymbals. They had very special warmth about them and could be used for just about any type of music." John DeChristopher, Vice President of Artist Relations for Zildjian stated, "Carter Beauford continues to remain one of the most innovative and influential drummers on the scene today and we are thrilled that he could take the time during this busy tour to catch up with us directly."
The Dave Matthews Band Tour of the US will continue until October 2 and Carter hopes to be able to conduct a Zildjian Chat Session shortly thereafter. Stay tuned for more information on that potential chat.
