Over-Hammering

K Custom cymbals extend the dark, warm and expressive sound of K Zildjians through special hammering combinations. "Over-Hammering" and fine lathing these cymbals further dries out their sound and minimizes overtones.

Scratch Lathing

Some K Custom models utilize a technique whereby the cymbal surface is scored through our scratch lathing process. This produces a distinctive blend of dry sound characteristics.

Un-Lathed

Some models, such as the K Custom Ride and the K Custom Dry Light Ride, are left un-lathed to further reduce overtones and wash.
