Zildjian hosted the 8th Annual Zildjian NY Artist Session at Studio Instrument Rentals on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Zildjian Artists from all over the Northeast came to check out the newest Zildjian cymbal models, as well as a larger-than-ever-before selection of prototype cymbals, many of which will be introduced next year.
The artist session was hosted by John DeChristopher (Vice President, Artist Relations & Event Marketing Worldwide), Brad Baker (Vice President of Marketing), Paul Francis (Director of R&D/Quality), Sarah Malaney (Artist Relations Manager - East Coast) and Aaron Jackson (Artist Relations Liaison & Events Coordinator). Zildjian also held Artist Sessions in London this March and in Los Angeles this September.
Zildjian artists in attendance included Alex Alexander, Zach Alford, Cliff Almond, Matty Amendola, Rafael Barata, Warren Benbow, Albert Bouchard, Daryl Burgee, Sterling Campbell, Vince Cherico, Mino Cinelu, Aaron Comess, Rick Considine, Joe Corsello, Bruce Cox, Mickey Curry, Duduka Da Fonseca, Zach Danziger, Clint DeGanon, Dennis Diken, Jay Dittamo, Anton Fig, Joe Franco, Sandy Gennaro, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Gramm, Bob Gullotti, Craig Haynes, Gerald Heyward, George Hooks, Andy Hubbard, Matt Johnson, Victor Jones, Mike Kaabe, Jon Karel, J.T. Commented John DeChristopher, "The buzz over all the Sound Lab Prototypes was incredible. The artists went crazy over everything we brought, some of which were last minute additions by Paul Francis. It was nice to see another great turnout, especially artists like Mickey Curry and Zach Alford who always seem to be on the road when we have these events. Even after eight years of holding Artist Sessions, the 'vibe' is as strong as ever."
